	Melbourne International Motor Show
		The auction is held on the last day of the motor show, 10 March, and the auction vehicles are on display in the foyer, stretching for all of its very considerable length, with a back-drop of the Polly Woodside square rigged ship outside, and making a free show within the motor show.

	AutoSpeed - The Sydney International Motor Show
		So the opportunity of attending press day at the Sydney International Motor Show was obviously one to be snapped up very quickly - the prospect of that free lunch while observing industry schmooze was icing on the cake to an unobstructed tour.
		Sydney's motor show is something I attend pretty much every year just as a punter; it's nice to spend a few hours ogling cars I can't afford and listening in to the chatter of the car-loving crowd.
		Trade shows, frankly, are boring, horrible affairs populated by toothy marketing types and the motor show is really no exception.

	2001 Sydney International Motor Show
		I also attended the 1992 and 1993 shows, and they were both great: In 1992 {easily the best one overall, which I went to on the 31st October 1992}, they had a substantial Lamborghini Stand {which was absent at the 1998 and 2001 Shows}, with a gorgeous fl Diablo, a Miura, and TWO Countach’s!!!
		I’ve included some pictures from the 1992/1993 shows here, but their quality isn’t up to par with the more recent 1998/2001 ones, as they were taken with my parents’ crappy el-cheapo camera back then.
