I've been living in Holland for many years, first I came as a tourist and as I enjoyed the multicultural and international aspect of this little country I decide to stay and try to find a job.
One day some close friends from Italy told me about Sahaja Yoga, especially one of them was so enthusiastic about it that I got curious and went with them to a public program on their visit to Amsterdam.
I was in a total bliss as I realized that I had been thoughtless for few moments, a total new experience for me, I was so happy that I would cry, I felt such a cool breeze on my head and right hand and a lot of heat on my left hand....

Sahaja Yoga claims to be "a unique method of meditation based on an experience called Self-realization (Kundalini awakening) that can occur within each human being".
Critics of the Sahaja Yoga movement and of its founder make the claim that it is a dangerous cult engaged in brainwashing, tight control of its members, child abuse and a host of other activities, which makes use of traditional yoga beliefs and techniques as a method of initial indoctrination.
Sahaja yogis claim that most of the critics are ex members of Sahaja Yoga, who have been cast out because they abused the whole foundation of Sahaja Yoga.

With its striking Buddhist style architecture, the International Sahaja Public School has 136 students from 18 countries who learn the basic principles of Sahaja Yoga (based on the ancient Upanishads), the tenets of Hinduism and worship the school’s patron - Mata Nirmala Devi.
In fact, the customary greeting on the school’s campus is “Jai Shri Mataji.” Needless to say, by the end of their sojourn, children metamorphose into devout Hindus and Mata Nirmala Devi acolytes.
The school’s large meditation hall, though, offers a sharp contrast to the dormitories, with its ornamental ceiling, garish red chandeliers and an ornate gold altar framing photographs of the face and hennaed feet of the Mata.
