	International trade law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		International trade law should be distinguished from the broader field of international economic law.
		The latter could be said to encompass not only WTO law, but also law governing the international monetary system and currency regulation, as well as the law of international development.
		International trade law is based on theories of economic liberalism developed in Europe and later the United States from the 18th century onwards.

	International Trade Law Guide
		International trade is a complicated area of law to research because there are numerous levels of trade organizations and interactions.
		The ASEAN Free Trade Area was initiated in January 1992 with the intent of reducing comprehensive tariff reduction in the region.
		Since the purpose of the Model Law was to assist in developing uniformity of national laws on international arbitration, the authors of this volume determined that it would be useful to create a resource that would bring together the decisions of the various countries applying the provisions of the Model Law.

		International Trade Law Project (U. of Tromso) - This is by far the best site for general legal information on international trade.You can use its searchable database as a starting point.
		Private International Law (T.M.C. Asser Institute) - It is to be hoped that the Web site of this well known and very important institution can be improved very soon (for example, too many external links do not work, there is not yet a collection of the English texts of the Hague Conventions on P.I.L).

	International Trade Law News
		The State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) has issued its 2006 "Defense Trade Overview", which contains a summary of current defense trade control laws and regulations and a summary of the defense licensing activity in fiscal year 2006.
		DDTC provided support for law enforcement agencies that initiated criminal actions pursuant to the Arms Export Control Act and ITAR, resulting in 119 arrests, 92 indictments and 60 convictions.
