Interstate 310 (abbreviated I-310) is a short spur route of Interstate 10 near New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
Interstate 310 crosses the Mississippi River via the Luling Bridge (Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge), a cable-stayed bridge connecting the towns of Luling and Destrehan.
Interstate 310 was originally planned, along with Interstate 510, as part of Interstate 410, a southern beltway around the New Orleans metro area.

You could go to the main branch of the New Orleans Public Library and read on microfilm all of the stories that appeared in the newspapers during the construction of the New Orleans section of Interstate 10 in the 1960s.
But it was in 1964 that Louisiana congressman Hale Boggs announced that the expressway in the Vieux Carre would be designated Interstate 310.
The highway would connect with Interstate 10 at Elysian Fields Avenue, rise at Esplanade Avenue five stories over the railroad tracks that ran along the riverbank, and dip at Iberville Street into a tunnel under the proposed Rivergate convention center.

Officers found a Capital City Produce Company truck stopped in the highway's right lane and found the 32-year-old Wayne in the cab with a severe head injury.
A preliminary investigation determined that the truck was traveling in the left lane on the upramp of the interstate bridge, but crossed three lanes as it started fishtailing and then hit the right retaining wall, Gallagher said.
"It slid along the top of the wall on its side a short distance before landing back on its wheels across the lanes leading to Interstate 310," he said.

We used Interstate 310 to cut over to Airline Highway, and enjoyed the more leisurely pace of the old US 61.
After a short detour back into town (I forgot to have us stop for gas) we were off and riding again, only this time we rode home in a fairly steady rain.
