	Interstate 579 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Interstate 579 (abbreviated I-579) is a north-south Interstate Highway auxiliary route.
		The northern terminus of I-579 is at Interstate 279 on the Veterans Bridge, while the southern terminus splits into the Liberty Bridge and Boulevard of the Allies, which connects to eastbound Interstate 376.
		Construction on Interstate 579 was not completed until 1989, with the opening of the Veterans Bridge, and the opening of Interstate 579 was concurrent with the opening of an extension of Interstate 279 into the North Hills region of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.

		Interstate 276 (abbreviated I-276) is a segment of the Pennsylvania Turnpike running from Interstate 76 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania to the Delaware River, where it connects with the New Jersey Turnpike extension.
		The part between the I-95 overpass and the Delaware River will become I-95 once the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 95 Interchange Project is finished; the New Jersey side is already designated I-95, but it is not signed as such.

		Interstate 79 was recently modified, and the opportunity exists to clarify other routes at the same time.
		Interstate 276 is the easternmost segment (Delaware River Extension) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, considered by many the nation's first modern expressway.
		I-376 passes by Monroeville, whose mall was featured in George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead." In Stephen King's novel "Christine," the main character worked a summer on the I-376 construction crew.
