Interstate 75 continues a northwesterly path to Bishop International Airport and the city of Saginaw, 38 miles to the north.
Interstate 75 between Interstate 475 and Michigan 57 has been expanded from three to four lanes, with a fifth exit lane between Interstate 475 (Exit 125) and Mt. Morris Road (Exit 126) in both directions.
Summer of 2002, Interstate 75/U.S. 23 southbound was widened from three to four lanes from Michigan 57/Exit 131 to the northern Interstate 475 interchange/Exit 125.

I-296 is a little-known, unsigned Interstate highway connecting I-96 with I-196 in downtown Grand Rapids.
One of the "original Interstates" from the initial Interstate plans of the late-1950s, I-296 was built simply as a part of the already-proposed "Grand Rapids Expressway," which traces its roots back to plans in the late-1940s.
I-375 is the shortest Interstate highway in the state, beating I-194 and I-296 by approximately 2-1/4 miles.

M-81 is a state trunkline in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan that travels from Saginaw to a junction with M-53 east of Cass City.
Prior to 1971, M-81's western terminus formerly ended at M-47 just west of Downtown Saginaw, when I-675 was completed through the city, M-81 was scaled back to its present day terminus at M-13.
