Interview is a album by British progressive rock band Gentle Giant which was released in 1976.
This is an interesting concept in the canon of Gentle Giant work in that it is conceived as a radio interview.
Thus the narration or interviewer is an integral part of the the overall soundscape.

It was a theme album meaning that right throughout the album, you could follow a story which was loosely based on ancient Scandinavian and Germanic mythology, Richard Wagner's Siegfried-legend and the original Conan script by Robert E. Howard from the 1930's.
The "Hammerheart" album could be considered somewhat close to "Nordland" in that I started from the exact same spot writing the material for "Nordland" as I had started from when I wrote the material for "Hammerheart" all those years ago.
Even a bad album, objectively speaking, from our teen years, that takes us back to a time and place when we were all younger and life easier, is still a better album than anything recent because we are not as young and life not as easy any more.

Anyway, the album I recorded was not what I had originally thought it to be, and they asked me to re-record the single, "Somebody." Being as loyal as I was to Bob Power, I got a bit defensive, but went out to LA to record anyway.
The evocative ballad "I Hold Her" is clearly one of the album's standouts sung at the edges of Bonnie's range atop gentle arrangements.

The interview is edited a little for clarity, i.e., editing out partially finished sentences and words like "um," "yeah," and "like." Other than these cases, I did my best to accurately transcribe the interview without any errors (even when I wanted to change my words so I'd sound less dumb).
And then there are songs that get written later in the course of writing an album where you're really filling in themes that you want to talk about in the album.
All of a sudden the themes of the album become clearer and the story of the album becomes clearer and then you realize well, we really need a step here.

Lowe has evidenty taken several steps forward between albums - the sparse acoustic arrangements of previous work are still here, but now backed with all sorts of instrumentation that adds a certain darkness to all of this.
Then you hear what appears to be it’s sweet romanticism and let your heart be warmed but wonder what she can mean with the line ‘only hints at what’s underneath’.
