		The governments of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut recognise Inuinnaqtun as an official language in addition to Inuktitut.
		Inuinnaqtun is used primarily in the communities of Cambridge Bay and Kugluktuk in the western Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut.

		The language is spoken into Nunavut as far as ᓇᐅᔭᑦ Naujat (Repulse Bay).

	Speaking up for Inuinnaqtun
		Inuinnaqtun interpreter/translators at the Nunavut legislative assembly think the new program to train people to do jobs like theirs is great.
		All three of the interpreters agreed that the course is an important step in preserving the language in the Kitikmeot.

		I voted for "optional second language", but wanted to say that I think Inuktitut/Inuvialuktun/Inuinnaqtun should be the first language of instruction and that English be an "optional second language".
		I voted that the languages be manditory to get a high school diploma because the Pinasuaqtavut Goal is to have the NU Gov running in inuktitut by 2020, i believe that it wont achieves its goal right away but its gonna come later or sooner.
		If I were to visit those little bushmen with the clicking language, I would make an effort to find out what name they have for their own people and call them that (if I could pronounce it), rather than calling them "those little bushmen with the clicking language".
