Topic: Inuus

In the News (Mon 13 Oct 08)

  Ape. Apes - Introduction, Genera.
The next genus, Macacus, is Asiatic, with the exception of the Barbary ape, or maggot (M. inuus), which is found in Northern Africa and on the Rock of Gibraltar.
Sometimes, as in M. nemestrinus, it is very short, and occasionally, as in M. inuus, it is absent.
On account of this absence of tail, this species has sometimes been made the type of a distinct genus, Inuus.

Khaelyn appears to be having serious qualms about just dumping Seif off the chair and throwing the klah on his face, but answers in a more-or-less curt voice, "You're going to look for it because you're here." See, there's a method to her madness.
Inuus knows what it is. Now help me look!" Bang.
Khaelyn's request, "Shut up, Seif," is followed by her leaving the container, plopping down in a nearby seat, and pulling out the hair ribbon to look over carefully.

This name, as universally admitted, is the generic name for man after the Fall, as weak and diseased.
A legitimate pronunciation of Enos, therefore, is just Enus or Enws, the same in sound as Inuus, the Ancient Roman name of Pan.
This conclusion in regard to the personal identity of Pan and Pitho is greatly confirmed by the titles given to the wife of Faunus.

According to Simon Winchester, the British military even built a replica Northern Irish town for war-gaming; it has a cathedral (St. Malachy's), a pub (the Hope and Anchor) and a chippie (Tom's).
Interestingly, Gibraltar also has a colony of vomiting Rock Apes (macacus inuus).
This colony has almost become extinct on a number of occasions, but for some reason--probably colonial romance--the Brits spent large amounts of time and money reviving it.

In addition, the ancient God of the Roman hill Janiculum, Janus, came from Tessalia.
Although tradition attributes him Indoeuropean origins, some historians say he has Pelasgic origins, with his name coming from Inuus Pelasgic.
The Arcadi, originally from Peloponnesia, speaking an ancient Greek language, and therefore Indoeuropean, is the perfect example of this fusion between Indoeuropean people and pre-Indoeuropean populations, given that Peloponnesia is the region in which the Pelasgic presence lasted the longest.

This hill was originally called Pallantium from a city of the same name in Arcadia; the name was afterwards changed to Palatium.
Evander, an Arcadian, had held that territory many ages before, and had introduced an annual festival from Arcadia in which young men ran about naked for sport and wantonness, in honour of the Lycaean Pan, whom the Romans afterwards called Inuus.
The existence of this festival was widely recognised, and it was while the two brothers were engaged in it that the brigands, enraged at losing their plunder, ambushed them.
