  Invasion - SCIFIPEDIA
Invasion was a TV series created by Shaun Cassidy, who also created Cold Case and American Gothic.
On the night of the hurricane, Russell's young daughter, Rose (Ariel Gade), goes missing and, when she is rescued, claims to have seen lights in the water.
Despite having the popular series Lost as a lead-in, Invasion was unable to hang on to viewers and was not renewed for the fall 2006 season.

Invasion (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Invasion is an American science fiction television series that began airing on September 21, 2005 on ABC.
Similar to Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the show tells the story of the aftermath of a hurricane in which water-based extraterrestrials infiltrate a small Florida town and begin to take over the bodies of the town's inhabitants through a cloning process.
Some fans of Invasion have attributed poor handling on the part of ABC as one reason for the show's continued problems, citing two hiatuses and a three-week break all within one season—periods in which no repeats were aired.

V (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Series creator Kenneth Johnson has said that the story was inspired by the 1935 novel It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis, but a quick check at the library will show that several scenes from the original TV pilot were lifted directly from the Bertolt Brecht play The Private Life of the Master Race.
During the course of the series, the Resistance Network's TV news bulletins report stories of erstwhile enemies uniting in common cause against the alien occupiers, such as fl and white South Africans (the series was produced when South Africa was still under apartheid), or Israelis and Palestinians.
The cancellation of the TV series in the spring of 1985 appeared to have caught its producers by surprise, as the season ends with a cliffhanger.

War Of The Worlds: The Series
This television series is intended as a quasi-sequel to the 1953 movie and even attempts to tie in the 1938 broadcast, so you can certainly credit it with a great deal of ambition.
He had some serious aspirations for the show, seeing it as an opportunity to highlight our poor treatment of the planet, and that the aliens might simply be our destined replacements in the natural scheme of things.
Its a pretty unsastifying situation, and one that did the series no favours as it was cancelled at the end of the season, though it did end unusually for a cancellation, with an actual resolution provided to the story.

The premise for the TV series was that a second wave of Martian invaders was ready to invade.
The most noticable change that appeared in the TV Series was the ability for the Martians to take over human bodies, this allowed them to move around the country with undetected.
The TV series, slowly drifted away from any real connection to War of the Worlds, eventually the 'Martians' are revealed to not really be from Mars at all, by the 2nd Series the Martians had been replaced by another alien invasion force.

The series is hosted by General Holland M. (Howlin' Mad) Smith who gives expert commentary on the various battles fought by the marines.

Schlocky 'Invasion' takes some baby steps in the right direction - The Boston Globe
In its first months, ''Invasion" was all come-on, all ''maybe, but maybe not." The show was like an unnervingly still face, unwilling to reveal anything specific, smugly withholding valuable information.
The ABC series has been taking what Underlay creepily calls ''baby steps" when he advises alien-human ''hybrids" on how to move forward on Earth.
This show is no ''Lost." It's a proudly cheesy UFO series, one whose title makes the show's similarities to ''Invasion of the Body Snatchers" explicit so that critics can't call them unintentional.

To add suspense to the mix, the sheriff of the town was revealed from the get-go to be one of the lead aliens, along with his wife, while her EX-husband and family (including two children) remained human.
Furthermore, as the series unfolded, we learned that there were competing factions among the aliens, some peaceful and concerned for their safety from other aliens AND the military, while the other segment was violent and bent on world-domination (usually resulting in self-destructive behavior).
INVASION sadly got off to a slow start but by the time the mid-season finale was reached, everything was moving along nicely and the actors were beginning to fill their roles very nicely.

AAW: Vampire Princess Miyu TV Series Review
Vampire Princess Miyu is a shoujo series at its heart, which means that the focus of the stories are as much on the emotional interaction of the characters as on blood, gore, and battles, though none of those are lacking.
Compared to your average monster-fighting TV series Miyu was something very different, but compared to the OAV version it was almost embarrassingly traditional, and too many of the battles just seemed to be there because the standard episode progression required it.
The TV version is a little older, and though she shares some of the same quiet confidence, tends to be quite reserved, contrasted with her more childish and lively classmates.

A surprisingly strong and effective TV sequel to the 1953 War of the Worlds movie which, in its early days, was as good as any small screen SF has ever been.
The second season, however, was a disaster and it was these and subsequent episodes which have given the show the poor reputation it has today.

'Invasion: The Complete Series' - Zap2it
But in the case of "Invasion," "American Gothic" producer Shaun Cassidy's attempt at a moody extraterrestrial drama, the best response is a heavy sigh, in mourning for a show that was killed just before it got into gear.
Set in the tiny seaside hamlet of Homestead, Florida, "Invasion" examined the alien infiltration of that microcosmic community by focusing on two families at the center of the storm -- both of which are profoundly changed in the aftermath of the devastating Hurricane Eve, in the series pilot.
Evidently produced before ABC declined to pick up the show for a second season, the six-disc "Invasion" collection refuses even to hint at plotlines to come; there are no audio commentaries for any of the 22 episodes, and the handful of deleted scenes don't exactly answer any burning questions.
