Inwood right north (the tip of Manhattan and not the Bronx or Riverdale!) was mostly Irish growing up.
Inwood is the northern tip of Manhattan....I have to disagree with the tewrrible reviews of the area.
I was born in Inwood, St Nicholas Ave off 186 st. In 1966 when I was 5 we moved out to Long Island and at that point from what I've been told the neighborhood was shot.
