That certainly looks like an iochroma bloom but my Iochroma grandiflora flowers are more of a blue color and my plant grows like a bush.
I have other purple and lavender iochromas but the foliage and shape on all of mine are similar.

Iochroma, on the other hand, seems to me a very classy plant indeed.
Not that it isn't vigorous, growing into a 10' shrub, but the flowers, while very striking, are not at all gaudy.

My iochroma was doing so well, then suddenly, whole limbs started dying.
I have had excellent results growing them from seed.
I do know of someone who successfully grafted an iochroma branch to a brug but I've never attempted that either.
