Ion Storm Inc. (sometimes spelled ION Storm) was a Texas based developer of computer games that was founded by John Romero, Tom Hall, Jerry O'Flaherty and Todd Porter in Dallas on November 15, 1996.
Daikatana was meant to be finished within 7 months of the founding of Ion Storm and was to be based on the original Quake engine.
In the fall of 1997, Warren Spector was asked to found the Austin branch of Ion Storm.

Ion Vein are at their best when they pick up the pace; their best material is uptempo, like the Jag Panzer-esque "Static Vision" or the monumental "Beyond Tomorrow," which starts quietly, but ends with the best material on the disc.
Their slower songs drag a little bit, and Klimczak's mid range voice sounds bored through the ballad sections, but for the most part, these are good songs and Ion Vein is a great band with a lot of promise.
They are certainly not the best band in the country, but they have the potential to storm the top and are among the best in the burgeoning American metal scene.

We the consumer base who will be purchasing Thief III : The Dark Age sign this petition in hopes to show ION Storm the numbers of people that wish that the third installment of the Thief series not be a PC port of an Xbox game.

The original Ion Storm, with its epic Daikatana-development fiasco, pretty much put the nail in the coffin for Looking Glass since both Ion Storm and Looking Glass were financed by Eidos and the former was sucking up all the development money.
While DX:IW wasnt exactly great, DX(1) was and I'm sure Ion Storm learned their lesson and would have done a better job on a possible DX3.

I know this is technically a different Ion Storm, but they're still a direct descendant, with the same name as well, so they bear the responsibility.
Ion Storm pretty much means the same thing to most gamers, John Ramiro and Daikatana.
