	Indiana Governor Ira Joy Chase
		IRA CHASE was born in New York and educated at Milan Seminary in Ohio and Medina Academy in New York.
		Chase was elected lieutenant governor in 1888 and became governor upon Alvin Hovey's death in 1891.
		A campaign sketch in 1888 described Chase as "candid to the point of simplicity" and suggested that he was criticized by professional politicians as "wanting art." He continued his work as a minister during his term as lieutenant governor and governor.

		I found what I think may be an error on the Ira Union Cemetery records.
		I have an addition to the Ira Union Cemetery concerning the row that my great great grandfather, Ransford Case is buried.His 2nd wife (my gggrandmother Calista A. Case) is buried beside his 1st wife (Hannah Ann).
		We visited this cemetery in 2000 and the 5 graves are all in a row, about 2nd row from road, near a little "chapel".
