Supporters say Irene Saez Conde's made of sterner stuff and point to the fact that she's committed to none of the standard Venezuelan political party structures, which are well-known for the corruption that's got Venezuela with a millstone around its fiscal neck.
Irene represents a "new generation" which many Venezuelans believe must shake off the past and re-build this country from the ground up.
