Best Actor Critics - Pankaj Kapoor (Maqbool), puzzled me, pankaj kapur is a brialliant actor no doubt, but in maqbool..as abbaji he doent really have a big role and it isnt really as spectacular as the other performances, notably tabu, piyush mishra and irfan khan.
However I thought the 50 years award was given to the film Sholay itself and not Ramesh Sippy.

And Irfan Khan so much in the news for his performance in Maqbool encored his Screen award for best performance in a negative role in Haasil.
The primary sufferer is Kareena Kapoor whose outstanding performance was honoured by Sansui’s jury, as was Shah Rukh Khan for Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Though no one was surprised when Hrithik Roshan walked away with another best-actor award for Koi…Mil Gaya, to everyone’s surprise Sansui chose to walk away completely from the Screen awards by honouring Preity Zinta (for Kal Ho Naa Ho) instead of the other popular choice Urmila Matondkar (for Bhoot).

the performances of each and every one in this movie is mind boggling..irfan khan comes across as a really fine fine actor..and well the others pankaj kapoor, tabu and what to talk of nasir and om puri, are just amazing..
I didnt venture into the theatres despite knowing this was a great movie, since the ugly faces of Irrfan Khan, Tabu & Pankaj Kapur scared me away...LOL
As you have said, when you see her on screen, you forget its Tabu and you get engrossed the character she portrays, be it Maachis or Chandni Bar...
