Coming of Iron Age in Cyprus
The mass immigration of Greek-speaking peoples from the Peloponnese began with the Iron Age (1100-700 BC).

Although occasionally boring and certainly not the scientific thriller it’s made out to be, The Bog People capitalizes on the strange preserving qualities of peat bogs to bring ancient history to life, showing the persevering reader a different view of the past that may change his/her perspective of the evolution of human civilization.

It only survived at all because it was written down in the middle ages by literate people (mostly monks and clergy) after it had been part of a centuries long mix-and-match of native Gaelic story-telling and of Christian biblical culture.
It is too optimistic to call it (as Kenneth Jackson did) 'a window on the Iron Age': it just isn't that transparent.
