IRON CROSS :: "Doing the steel toe two-step since 1981!"
Iron Cross's name, image and musical style made them stand out like a sore thumb in their area at the time (even though most of the D.C.H.C. scene considered them their peers) and made them no friends among those who had rods up their butts.
Iron Cross's take on the 'Oi' sound sweeping the U.K. at the time was extremely raw and more earnest and guttural than the stuff they were emulating.
Iron Cross broke up in 1985 and most of the members went on to be in early D.C. Emo-Core groups like Ignition and Grey Matter.

One suggests it was derived from the royal purple used by King Constantine the Great (born about 275 A.D., died in 337 AD) as displayed on his labarum (military standard) and on those of later Christian emperors of Rome.
The name "Crusader" was first associated with Holy Cross in 1884 at an alumni banquet in Boston, where an engraved Crusader mounted on an armored horse appeared at the head of the menu.
The name appealed to the Holy Cross student body, which held a vote later in that year to decide whether this cognomen or one of the other two currently in use - "Chiefs" and "Sagamores"- would be adopted.

Consisting of guitarist Mark Haggerty and drummer Dante Ferrando (both of controversial first wave Dischord band Iron Cross), guitarist and singer Jeff Turner (founder of WGNS cassette label and studio), and bassist Steve Niles, Gray Matter was inspired by British punk bands.
The band rehearsed but rarely played out, and it wasn't until the summer of 1984 that they played their first important public gigs, finding alliance with bands like Rites of Spring and Beefeater.
The band reunited in late 1990, touring and recording Thog, a fine disc that showed the group's grasp of pop punk sensibilities but lacked their former power.

Iron Maiden is cited as a major influence by (amongst others) the thrash metal band Slayer, flamenco-metal band Breed 77, pop-punk band Sum 41 and jam band Umphrey's McGee.

Later in the band's career, a second album entitled "Hypercaust" was recorded in 1990 but never released, as was a promo video.
The band folded before it had a chance to make it big, though fans of second-generation 80s thrash will surely find something to like in their hyperactive brand of metal.

Iron Monkey: Martial Arts Movie Review
For the former, Iron Monkey delivers a simple and satisfying good vs. evil buddy story with mind-blowing action sequences and what may be the best villain entrance ever.
To Iron Monkey's credit, audiences who enter the theater expecting Crouching Tiger will be surprised but, ultimately, pleased to find that the film has no art house aspirations but is instead a comic romp driven by thrilling action.
While Iron Monkey gets only two and a half stars, it is among the most entertaining films screened in theaters this year; continued box office successes for films in this genre may open up more opportunities to sample more of an action-entertainment tradition refined to heights to which even Hollywood merely aspires.

There are only a handful of bands who have survived from the late 80s / early 90s Stockholm death metal scene but what is left is the elite.
Dismember have never aspired to change their sound in any drastic way but you can always be sure of one thing when getting your hands on an album from the band: it will be made up of nothing but high quality death metal in the old vein.
One thing that I found a bit funny was the Iron Maiden riffing in "Tragedy Of The Faithful" but it fit in very well in the song.
