The Irshava Distrtict makes up a very good test area which is why this region was chosen.
There are currently 27 factories in the Irshava Region, most of which are either sitting idle or working at a minimum level.
If they are then determined to be of a serious nature and offer a substantial investment in Ukraine, it would be recommended that these people then be invited to the Irshava Region to view potential sites for their factory or investment.

 The TU2-pages
TU2-020 with the afternoon Irshava - Hmelnik passenger train in the station of Kamenskoje on 27 February 2001.
The train on the left has arrived from Vinogradiv; the one on the right is the train to Irshava.
The most important landmark along the Beregovo system is the new orthodox church of Irshava, which is passed by TU2-034 on 28 October 2005.

 COSTUME AND PERSONAL DECORATION
In moving westwards along the Tysa one is struck by the remarkable character of the dress to be found there, recalling that of the dwellers of the Hungarian plains, with short blouses beneath which can be seen the naked body above the belt.
This paradoxical and obviously borrowed costume is also worn by the men in the neighborhood of Irshava and Dovhe.
In the region west of Marmarosh, along the valley of the Borshava River, as far as Irshava to the south, wreaths are not worn but the plaits are beautifully tied behind with a ribbon.

Brodiy Andriy Ivanovych was born in 1895 in the village of Kyvyazhd (now Kamyanske) of Irshava district in Transcarpathia into a prosperous peasant’s family.
After graduating from Uzhhorod Teacher’s Seminary in 1914, he worked as a teacher in the village of Velyky Bychkiv.
Brodiy was rehabilitated with the lack of corpus delicti according to the Law of the Ukrainian SSR On Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repressions in Ukraine of 17.04.1991.

 Who are we, LEMKOs......
Part of southern Lemkivshchyna has become part of Zakarpatska Oblast (district of Ukraine - wm) This "triangle" from the village of Uzhok (in the north) and the town of Uzhhorod (in the south), to the river Borzhava in the east.
It reaches counties of VelikoBerezyani and Perechini, and partially Slavyavski, Irshava, Mukhachevo and Uzhhorod.
Already in the middle of the 18-th century, numerous Lemko families from Priashev district and the Galician part of Lemkivshchyna, resorted to find a better fate in Yugoslavia.

To bolster the shipment for the Carpathian flood victims, Dr. Oleksander Myndiuk, director of the Lviv Regional Specialized Children's Clinic, relinquished most of the aid assigned to his hospital.
Vena traveled extensively throughout flood-ravaged villages in the area of Mukachiv, Irshava and Uzhhorod to meet with flood victims.
They also visited three hospitals, meeting with local doctors to assess their most critical needs and to set priorities for subsequent aid shipments to the region.

Good reports about the materials of Volodymyr Bambula, lawyer Maria Ivanova from Cherkassy, Vasyl Kachansky from Dnipropetrovsk, etc. All the authors are dear for us, because we know what happens at places.
According to the stories of people, the facts were horrible, we came to villages Kamyanske, Sobatyno in Irshava region, Chornotysiv in Vynogradiv region, Ruski Komarivtsi, Hudlyovo in Uzhgorod region.
As a result there appeared too many publications and the authorities didn't want to answer them.

 Situation Reports: Ukraine: Floods - Nov 1998, Ukraine Floods OCHA Situation Report No. 1
Floods and landslides have damaged roads, railways and electricity lines in the region, and several villages in remote areas have become unreachable by road.
In particular, major floods are reported in Tjachev, Rahiv, Vinogradiv, Mukachevo, Khust, Perechin, Svaljava, Irshava and Uzhgorod regions of the Transcarpathian province.
About 3,000 people have been evacuated from the affected areas, and 2 casualties were reported.

Quoting Government sources, OCHA says that a total of 107 small towns and villages and two cities in the Zakarpattia region and eleven settlements in the Lviv region have been flooded.

 LITOPYS UPA - Series 2 Volume 1
They were killed in an encounter with Soviet partizans on November 4, 1943, near the village of Anelivka in Kostopil rayon.
Antin Tuchak ("Hunia", "Kruk", "Haidamaka") came from Irshava in Transcarpathia.
He served as a platoon (chota) leader and trainer in an unidentified UPA unit and wrote articles on military training under the pseudonym of Antin Skelia.

He is of the same age as me, born At the moment he studies at the Graduate School and writes his dissertation on Western historiography of the archeology of the Celts in Central Europe...
