Isaac Asimov's Utopia (Caliban Series , Vol 3) - Cookie Nest
Asimov's robots have delighted me since I was a boy, so it was a wonderful surprise to find new robot stories written by a capable author.
The Three-Law robots, Four-Law robots, and No-Law robots create confusion in their interactions with human society and, through that confusion, the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on people is put in the spotlight.

Inferno is the second book of the Trilogy (Caliban and Utopia are the other two books in the Trilogy) authorized by the Asimov Foundation where in Roger MacBride Allen tries to take on the cudgels from the one and only Sir Isaac Asimov.
Given this fact, the Trilogy has panned out brilliantly with each of the three producing a searing examination of the three laws of Robotics.
Then there was the politics, which was going bad in Inferno with the Settlers and Spacers vying with the radical Ironheads trying to seize power at the centre in Inferno.

 Isaac Asimovs Inferno (Caliban Trilogy)
The basic idea of Inferno (Just like its predecessor, Caliban) is the creation of two new kinds of robots: The New Law robots and the No Law robot, and their effect on the society of the planet Inferno.
The New Law Robots are freer than the original Three Law robots in Asimovs books, but have their own share of problems; Caliban, the only robot created with no laws, is of course the most free, but is far from human.
Although Allen tries to expand his examination of Asimovs Three Laws of Robotics by introducing New Law robots the concept is not done with any verve, pace or excitement.

'Isaac Asimov's Inferno' by Roger MacBride Allen (Books) - American Poems
The basic idea of Inferno (Just like it's predecessor, Caliban) is the creation of two new kinds of robots: The New Law robots and the No Law robot, and their effect on the society of the planet Inferno.
Caliban is challenging long-held ideas of a robot's place in society.
In a continuation of Roger MacBride Allen's series of books taking off on the ideas started by Isaac Asimov's robot novels, we are presented with a good murder mystery, believable characters (some of whom are robots!), and high adventure.

According to Isaac Asimov 's Foundation and Earth, Galaxia is (or will be) a living organism which contains all the lifeforms and rocks and other materials in the galaxy.
From Foundation's Edge it can be surmised that Galaxia culminates in about FE 4000, allowing for further Foundation stories to be interesting until that date, if the Estate of Isaac Asimov were to authorize further stories.
It is a Utopia, the successor of Gaia (similar being encapsulating only one planet).

On Science & Science Fiction by Kathryn Cramer
While the robots that make cars in Japanese factories bear precious little resemblance to those in I, Robot, they might not now exist were it not for Isaac Asimov and company.
But without the tradition of the folk-tale, sf, if it existed at all, would be a literature of didactic tracts, blueprints for "utopia." Fortunately, the enlightened, rationalistic, utopian impulse collided with the irrational, romantic, fanciful folk story-telling tradition.
Hard science fiction is a lively and diverse literature that attempts to evoke the power and wonder of science, to articulate the sensation of discovering the true and the real.

There are few Greek Sci-Fi writers that, had they been writing in English, would have been on a par with Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clark.
"Utopia" is derived from the Greek for "nowhere." If science fiction is based on exotic travels, monsters, larger-than-life heros outwitting their foes, and technology indistinguishable from magic, then all must give credit to Homer 's "Odyssey", some 2,500 years ago.
Greek myths from 2,000-5,000 years ago are essential to any history of Fantasy, and Lucian of Samosata (ca.

The SF Site: A Conversation With John C. Wright
He has published shorter works in Isaac Asimov's SF Magazine, one of which was selected to appear in Year's Best SF 3 edited by David G. Hartwell for 1997.
Telling of the revolt of Phaethon, an ambitious planetary engineer, against a glorious but complacent utopia hundreds of thousands or millions of years hence, the book applies immense stylistic and philosophical sophistication to the fundamental matter of the space operas of SF's own Golden Age.
It is a transcendent planetary romance, a postmodern apotheosis of Jack Vance.
