On May 1822, "Isaac Haston" conveyed to Rhodum Doyle a tract on the South Side of Main Caney Fork, being a part of the 150 acre tract originally granted to "Daniel Haston" by the State in Grant No. 535 of 26 Sept. 1808.
Isaac sold his land to one Rhodum Doyle in 1822 and conveyed it by deed dated 15 May 1822.
Isaac and his family were not listed in the 1830 census.

Isaac Bane, who had married Sarah Ferguson before he left Virginia, was nearly ninety-three years old when he died at his home in Amwell.
Isaac Bane, Jr., son of Isaac Bane, married Anna Wick, and very soon after their marriage they purchased "Forlon Hope," the tract of land in this township which was located by William Vineard.
Isaac Riggle and J. Morringer now own most of the Shuster property, and some of the logs in the old tavern have been used in the construction of Isaac Riggle's barn.

It next joined in the Vicksburg campaign, commencing at Milliken's Bend, and terminating in the fall of Vicksburg., It was in reserve at the battle of Port Gibson; at the battle of Raymond, May 15, it was in the second line; on the 14th fought at Jackson, driving the enemy.
On the 16th, at Champion's Hill, the enemy was met in force, the Tenth being on the left of the brigade, exposed to heavy flank movement and murderous fire of the enemy.
Colonel Glasgow at once started to their relief, and arriving there in the night was advised by the commander of the garrison to remain on board his transports, which he did, as no immediate attack was anticipated.

[From different chapter] In Lawrence County, Richard Searcy was clerk from 1817 to 1821; Joseph Hardin, sheriff from 1817 to 1825, and Robert Blane, coroner from 1817 to 1821.
Isaac and Jonathan were two others of the Hilterbrand family who lived in the neighborhood.
The Hilterbrands were conspicuous in the early settlement of this portion of the County, and their descendants still remain.

This distinguished regiment, which was immortalized under Hartranft in taking the stone bridge at Antietam, contained a number of Lycoming men, one of whom, Levi Marks, was killed in that famous charge.
Some of the severest fighting of the war was participated in by the regiments entering the service in 1864 and numbering above 200.

At daylight on the 19th, the force entered Barbourville and found the recruits gone; they had been sent to Camp Dick Robinson.
A small home guard force commanded by Capt. Isaac J. Black met the Rebels, and a sharp skirmish ensued.
After dispersing the home guard, the Confederates destroyed the training camp and seized arms found there.
