		While it obviously differs in instrumentation (Shamma is a master of the oud), its humanist tone reminds me of Ravi Shankar's original sitar score for Satyajit Ray's landmark film, Pather Panchali (1955); the sounds are intense yet playful and the performance is both mesmerizing and dizzying in its genius.
