 Isla Sorna - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Isla Sorna (Sarcasm Island in English), also known as Site B, is the (fictional) second island containing dinosaurs owned by InGen, featured in the novel and film The Lost World and in the movie Jurassic Park III.
Isla Sorna is part of the island chain known as The Five Deaths (Las Cinco Muertes), and is located approximately 207 miles off the coast of Costa Rica, in the Pacific Ocean.
It is eighty miles from Isla Nublar, the island of the Jurassic Park theme park.

The basic concepts that kept popping up were Isla Nublar, which you know as the first island.
The idea was not to feature Isla Nublar in the film as a majority, but just that the can was found during the destruction of Nublar, and utilised.
Actually, the only one was first up, and it included Isla Sorna during first movie, and the accidents that happen on that island to leave it abandoned.

This is the redone Isla Nublar map by JP Legacy as the original map done by Joel Meine (Dr. Dino) was horribly inaccurate because it combined Novels, Games, and other material into the movie's continuity.

Biosyn never managed to obtain the eggs, and some time afterwards a second trip to Isla Sorna was made, by worried parents looking for their son and another of the experts involved in the original incident on Isla Nubla.
However, Isla Nublar was left untouched since it was believed that no dinosaurs had survived the Costa Rican bombing that had taken place after the park incident.
But InGen did not forget about Nublar, and a couple of years ago, when they felt that the hype had died down sufficiently, they moved back to the island and began to rebuild the park, using John Hammond's old plans and maps to help them.

From there I went in and drew the roads in, using the first image as a guide, then added in the roads from the fence shut down scene, the fences, and eventually the service roads we know have to be there from film evidence.
Furthermore, officially, I think those are all the paddocks that are supposed to be on Isla Nublar in the film.
Look: We know that there is a raptor pit on Isla Nublar and the raptor ID is shown outsite the perimeter fences.

Unless there is something yet to be revealed in JPIV, the dinos on Sorna were the same dinos that were moved to Nublar, meaning they have the same damn DNA.
If the ones on Sorna were flourishing, then obviously the ones on Nublar could as well.
A lot of people don't get that this was explained in the end of the first book because it wasn't slapped in their faces like in TLW movie.
