A team from the village of Onchan originally entered the Isle of Man Football League at around the turn of the twentieth century, but that early club was not very successful and withdrew from the League.
This league was for the second teams of the big clubs, but also for the first teams of clubs who felt they weren’t strong enough for the First League.
When football resumed after the war, Onchan registered their greatest achievement in 1947 when they were First League champions, winning 14 of their 18 games and drawing one, scoring 66 goals and conceding 29.
