DNV - ISO 14001 Certification Mandate Reaches the Automobile Industry
Currently, the automobile industry is leading the United States in numbers of organizations compliant with and certified to ISO 14001.
Just as financial accounting assures all parties of a company’s fiscal state, ISO 14001 certification assures all parties that the company is working diligently to improve environmental performance, and is willing to go on record with their objectives and results.
ISO 14001 certification can be particularly important in developing countries, where many sensitive environmental issues may arise.

 DNV - ISO 14001
In late 1999, it was announced that suppliers to the automobile industry would be required to certify the implementation of environmental management systems (EMSs) in their operations by the end of 2002.
The ISO 14001 standard, which specifies requirements for a comprehensive environmental management system, was formally published by the International Organization for Standardization on Sept. 1, 1996.
Companies that seek to integrate ISO 14001 into their business alongside other management systems must be willing to initiate that effort by making a strong commitment to environmental responsibility.

For example, for the Personal Automobile comparisons, the user would input, among other factors: the amount of coverage, the model year of the car, the type of car, the driver's driving record, and the use to which the car is put.

Diminution in Market Value of Repaired Vehicles
In such cases, the insured's automobile policy, and the claimant's rights, as a matter of law, are called into question; the issue being, whether the car's diminution in market value is covered under a personal automobile policy, or whether such damages are recoverable by a third-party claimant.
While automobile insurance policies differ somewhat amongst insurers, the Insurance Services Office's (ISO) Personal Automobile Policy form (PAP) is typical of the type of policy issued by many insurers to underwrite their personal automobile property and liability loss exposures.
Most personal automobile policies are considered "open policies", as opposed to "valued policies", i.e., like the PAP, open policies contain provisions which establish the cost of repair or replacement as the measure of the insurer's liability.

DIN & ISO Car Radio Satnav Connectors
Halfords' adapter range is indeed excellent - each wire has its function printed on it as a useful confirmation that connection is correct.
There are DIN to ISO adapters and ISO to DIN - if fitting a modern radio into an ur-quattro, the best strategy is to adapt the existing harness entirely to ISO and purchase the ISO to DIN adapters in case anyone wishes to replace the original radio.
Leaving a short piece of wire attached to each loudspeaker plug will allow the plug to be crimped onto the leads of an ISO adapter so that a radio with DIN loudspeaker connections can be fitted.
