 | | Ami has been Israeli folk dancing since the age of 12 at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan, Israel, where he had settled after leaving his birth place, Morocco. |
 | | At the kibbutz, he also started his love for music and singing were many folk dances and beautiful songs were choreographed by kibbutz members Leah Bergstein and original songs/dances were composed (music + lyrics) by Matityahu Shelem (Weiner). |
