HERE: What The Heck Happened Here?
For one thing, Factsheet Five, the zine review bible, went out of business (the same week the first issue of HERE went off to the printer, in fact), leaving zine culture without its central gathering place, not to mention its main avenue of marketing to the broader reading public.
All of which is an extremely long-winded way of welcoming you to the relaunch of HERE magazine, the website.
So HERE is a work in progress - but then, it always was.

What Happened Here - Eliot Weinberger
The first part of What Happened Here, chapters describing New York on the day after, three weeks after, etc. ("after" referring to 11 September 2001), has been previously available in (conveniently and attractively pamphlet-sized) book form, in the marvellous Prickly Paradigm Press series, as 9/12 (see our review).
What Happened Here essentially continues the story, Weinberger continuing his efforts to describe the state of America under the jr.
What Happened Here is worth reading for "What I Heard about Iraq" alone, but the entire collection is of interest and considerable power.

Unfortunately for him, such a thing would happen at least once a day for the next two and a half months; as AEFI’s bomber force grew, and the bomber crews’ skill did the same, it seemed that no German military, political, or security installation in the steadily shrinking Nazi occupation zone in Ireland was safe.

DVD Savant: Savant Review: It Happened Here
Daily Variety called It Happened Here a science-fiction film, which is sort of what it is -- a story of WW2 in the "negative subjunctive" -- that is, a tale of events which could have happened but did not happen, but if they did happen they might have happened like this.
It Happened Here takes as its springboard the simple idea that Hitler launched an invasion during the Battle of Britain and quickly subdued England.
By staying resolutely neutral, It Happened Here can't be dismissed as propaganda, as can its two close cousins, the pseudo-documentaries Battle of Algiers and Peter Watkins' The War Game.

MediaCircus.net: It Happened Here Movie Review by Anthony Leong
To them, "It Happened Here" was a wake-up call that illustrated how the social upheaval and atrocities that took place in other Nazi-occupied countries during the Second World War could have easily occurred on British soil.
In a sense, "It Happened Here" illustrates how easy it is for society in general to succumb to such depravity, under the right conditions.
Despite its low-budget origins and cast of mostly volunteer actors, "It Happened Here" possesses enough epic scope, scathing social insight, and haunting images to truly be considered a classic-- which is remarkable, considering that it was almost never seen.

It Happened Here - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It Happened Here is a 1966 British film, set in an alternate history in which Nazi Germany successfully invades and occupies the United Kingdom during World War II.
