Fiat CR.42 Falco Review by Scotty Battistoni (Italeri 1/48)
Italeri supplies the modeler with 17 pieces (some are alternates) to assemble that make up the power plant section of the plane.
Italeri must be commended for tackling a 1/48 Italian WWII subject, and I hope they will look into maybe doing other subjects such as a C.R. The kit is cleanly molded and its ease of assembly will be a plus to some modelers.
Italeri must also be commended for capturing some of the subtle details that define the Falco’s elegant shape.

 Cybermodeler Online - Italeri 1/48 ACH-47A Chinook
For those of us who've been building Italeri kits for a while, we're accustomed to a certain approach they take to designing their molds to strike a good balance between detail and cost.
Italeri has been criticized for the lack of detail in some of their kits, but these critics think nothing about comparing these kits to some of the Japanese equivalents at several times the price.
The rear cockpit bulkhead is a multi-part affair that provides the avionics racks that are visible in the cargo bay as well as the overhead console and circuit breaker panels visible in the cockpit.

C-119C Flying Boxcar Review by Mick Evans  (Italeri 1/72)
When this kit was first released many years ago it had some very nice internal detail and Italeri moulds are holding their age well, the detail is crisply moulded.
A nice touch is the inclusion of an Italeri 1/72 Dodge WC51 kit no 1146/B to be positioned in the cargo bay.
My previous experience with Italeri decals is they have been a bit stiff and have not conformed well to the surface detail, but these look very good.

The first was also the first of the ex-Esci kits that Italeri rereleased that didn't have link and length tracks.
Until then, I had assumed that Italeri were only doing those kits with them.

 Italeri 6442 Autoblinda AB 41
Italeri certainly threw a surprise with the recent announcement of the Italian Autoblinda AB 41 Armoured Car which was produced in greater numbers than sister models AB 40 and AB 43 and saw service in North Africa, Italy, Hungary, and Russia.
It was probably the most important Italian Armoured Car of WWII serving with the Italian Army and the Wehrmacht after the Italian surrender and was armed with a 20mm main gun and two 8mm machine guns as well as having four wheel drive and steering.
The rubber tyres are noteworthy due the unique way Italeri have handled the age old problem of the moulding seams on rubber/vinyl tyres.

Too bad that Italeri has stopped manufacturing these kits, I'd like to get the convertible and the non-turbo 993.
It would be nice if Tamiya had had the sense to produce a 993 because Italeri kits do lack something in details, especially the wheels and headlights are appalling.

Now I'm not that much of a helo expert, but it seems to me that there was a version that had a relatively straight tail boom (this one is slightly canted down) and also one that had larger aft stabilizers that were canted downward.
Italeri generally does not do a very good job of getting the proper font for US aircraft markings and I really don't know why.
Use the Italeri H-19A Rescue or Revell Germany H-19A kits for the early tail boom, and the Italeri H-19B for the later tail boom.

In the 1980s Italeri had a licensing agreement with The Testor Corporation that allowed the latter to rebox Italeri kits under the Testors label.
Italeri also provided the lower hull and running gear for DML’s line of Sherman tanks in the 1990s.

The resulting model airplane is an interesting variation of the old “gooney bird.” For the quarter-scale buffs, this conversion could be simply done using the Monogram DC-3/C-47 kit.

Also there is a connection between Revell and Italeri, revell basically reissue italeri trucks, with minor exterior differences.
These are merely speculations, but I think there's a truth behind these statements, as all companies want the maximal profits on home markets, and buy moulds from manufacturers so they can use them at their extent.
