Italians have some varying physical characteristics, a fact that may result from the ancient settlement of the peninsula by ethnically different peoples other than the original native Italic tribes.

I will be attending another Italian Festa 3 hours away from me this year, in addition to the local one where I live so I am branching out to see what I am missing.
I enjoy the ambiance of the music and the Italian village like setting and seeing so many Italians/Italian Americans there and talking about Italy, Italian families, music, food, etc. I love overhearing (not trying to be nosy) people speaking Italian....it makes me feel as if I have been transported to an Italian town.
Driving in the neighborhood you can tell it is Italian by the names, businesses, etc. I still envy you all that live in Italian neighborhoods and around family that are Italian/Italian American.
