NAGOYA — Two guards at Nagoya Prison on Friday received suspended prison terms after being found guilty of assaulting an inmate, who eventually died, in 2001.
According to the ruling by the Nagoya District Court, the two men along with a third guard pulled down the pants of the inmate and sprayed him in the rectum on Nov. 14, 2001.
The inmate died the following morning from bacterial shock after suffering from severe injuries to his rectum.
