Ivancice is a small town in Czech Republic, located about 30 km far away from the moravian capital Brno in south-west direction.
Ivancice school, generously sponsored by Karel the Elder of Zerotin, belongs to one of the most famous Czech Brothers institutions - perhaps thanks to the fact, that significant scholars worked there.
Established in Ivancice was also the Czech Brothers printing press, later it was moved to Kralice, where in a Gothic stone fortress the Bible Kralická, the first Czech printed bible, first saw the light of day.

Born in Ivancice (Southern Moravia) in 1860, Alphonse Mucha first studied art at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Munich before going to Paris in 1887 to continue his studies as a painter at the Academie Julien.
