To the question what did he meant by saying that “especially there is no strike of 30 prisoners”, the deputy head of the colony said that it was a slip of the tongue.
As we have informed, information was received that about 30 prisoners announced a hunger strike of protest against violations of their rights, and against unjustified penalties and provocations by workers and administration of the colony in a corrective colony number 22 (Ivatsevichy, Brest region).
Uladzimir Levaneuski, a son of the political prisoner, a leader of the Strike Committee of Vendors Valery Levaneuski, who is serving a sentence in Ivatsevichy prison, was informed about that by a former prisoner, released recently.

In Ivatsevichy (Brest region) the kiosks owned by Belsaiuzdruk (the state-owned company that distributes newspapers and magazines) stopped putting up for display independent periodicals, including Gazeta dlia vas, Narodnaia volia, Kurier iz Borisova.
From her talks with the sellers, Ms Tsaluika found out about a directive allegedly issued by the head of the Ivatsevichi district executive committee department Iryna Mikhniuk, which banned displaying the mentioned periodicals.
I.Mikhniuk herself during a meeting with L.Tsaluika denied the directive or a document from the Ivatsevichy district executive committee, and said that this was misunderstanding.

Several days late he was summoned to Ivatsevichy District Executive Committee and accused in violation of part 8 of Article #172-1 of the Code of Administrative Violations “Illegal production and distribution of mass media”.
On 3 August Ivatsevichy District Court found him guilty and sentenced to 127 500 rubles fine for distribution of a periodical without the official permission.

The Constitution prohibits forced labor, except in cases when the work or service to be performed is fixed by a court's decision or in accordance with the law on the state of emergency or martial law; however, there were some reports of forced labor.
For example, on July 12, town authorities in Ivatsevichy, in the Brest region, sent letters to local industrial enterprises and state institutions ordering them to increase the "voluntary" participation of their employees in harvesting of livestock fodder by 20 percent.
Workers who refused to "volunteer" for the harvest were ordered to pay a fine of $5 (5,000 rubles) or approximately 15 percent of their average monthly salary.

After a several hunger strikes of protest Valery Levaneuski felt a pain in heart and in back, and administration of Ivatsevichy colony agreed that he needs hospitalization.
"He left from Ivatsevichy to Minsk on October 15, and he wrote a letter on October 18 that he arrived.
So the trip from Ivatsevichy to Minsk has taken three days," told his son Uladzimir Levaneuski.

Abstract: A linear NNW-oriented structure more than 600 km in length and 60-110 km wide has been found in the basement of the central part of Belarus and identified as the Smolevichy-Drogichin zone.
It is bounded by the regional Minsk and Ivatsevichy faults on the west and Mogilev-Stokhodsk fault on the east.
The zone is located at the junction of two large crustal blocks different in their structure and consolidation age -- the Early Archean Belarussian-Baltic Granulite Belt in the west and Late Archean - Early Proterozoic Central-Belarussian Depression in the east.

Belapan reported on July 12 that the authorities of the town of Ivatsevichy, Brest Region, have sent letters to local industrial enterprises and state institutions, demanding that their employees increase participation by 20 percent in the harvest of forage grasses.
Those workers who refuse to harvest forage are forced to bail themselves out by paying 5,000 rubles (about $5) into the budget of the collective or state farm that is assigned to their enterprise or organization.
