"Ivinghoe, with its Hamlets of Ivinghoe-Aston, St. Margaret's, Clippersdown, Barley-End, Ringshall, and Wardhurst, is bounded, on the North, by Cheddington and Edlesborough; on the East, by the Hamlets belonging to Edlesborough; on the South, by Pightlesthorne; and on the West, by a small slip of Hertfordshire.
IVINGHOE, in the hundred of Cotslow and deanery of Muresley, is a small market-town, 33 miles from London by way of King's Langley, and 32 by way of Watford: it lies near the ancient Ikeneld-Street.
The manor of Ivinghoe was given by Edward the Confessor to the see of Winchester; bishop Poynet surrendered it to the crown.

The evening had been called as an opportunity to meet the committee, talk about the new sports ground in Pitstone, discuss the future of the club, listen to opinions and to inspire more parents to join in the running of the club.
The Club currently has more than 200 players from Pitstone, Ivinghoe, Marsworth, Cheddington, Slapton, Aldbury and the surrounding area and we need help to continue our success on and off the pitch.
We play just about everywhere that there is grass in the villages – at Brookmead School, on Pitstone Rec, Ivinghoe Lawn and occasionally at Cheddington Rec, Cheddington School and in Aldbury.

It was suggested that it may be possible for Thames Valley Police and Pitstone and Ivinghoe parish councils to share the cost of employing a Police Community Support Officer dedicated to Pitstone and Ivinghoe.

Pitstone and Ivinghoe then had a purple patch for 20 minutes, dominating play and earning a goal back when one of their fast forwards ran on to put the ball through Nathan Howson's legs.
This seemed to spur the Owls on and Craig Treacy scored a hat trick in an eight minute period, his first came when Glen Beasley laid the ball into his path for him to shoot low past the keeper.
Pitstone and Ivinghoe got another goal back when one of their players went on a nice run evading four challenges from Houghton defenders to slot the ball home.
