Aichi is a prefecture in the Chubu/Tokai region of Japan.
Half of Aichi is taken up by the metropolitan area of Nagoya: the other half is highlands, foothills of the Japan Alps.

NAGOYA (Kyodo) A 27-year-old man under arrest for abandoning the body of a 17-year-old girl was served a fresh warrant Sunday on suspicion of murdering her, police in Aichi Prefecture said.
The suspect, Yosuke Naito, a former employee of the municipal government of Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, was arrested in late August on suspicion of abandoning the victim's body in a wooded area of Toyoake in the same prefecture last November.
The incident came to light when a human skull was found in February and identified as that of Megumi Nekoyama, of Iwakura, Aichi Prefecture, who had gone missing last fall.
