		During the Famine times the Ixians became a major power in the known universe, with the invention first of no-ships which contain machines that duplicate the abilities of Guild Navigator, hide the people within from prescience; with the advantage of being far cheaper.
		The Ixians have also been known to be victims of the Bene Tleilax forces on Arrakis, having dead Ixians harvested for use in their Flesh Vats.

		Leto's perception of the Ixians, and the ruling house are basically of high regard, as he is a fellow noble in this world...and as we all saw..the house is rather sinister in their dealings..they are almost like the ordos....there to make a buck at any cost.

		The only relationship they have with the other powers is that they buy many products from Ix to improve their mining operations, as well as receiving a few mages to head the military forces that guard the planet from attack.
		The mages believe the Ixians are primitive, and themselves superior for their control of psionic forces.
		They should be smaller than the Ixians by far; they need Gateways, Command Centers, Barracks, Fotrges, and Robotics Facilities etc. The “key targets” will be bunkers, missile turrets and Ion Cannons in the middle, with marines, firebats and some zealots to guard it.

		Of course, none of this complots really work as Leto Atreides expects them and previously prepares himself; thus enhancing the image that he has spread that he is invincible.

		I always got the impression that Duncan was darker skinned or somewhat not entirely caucasian, because of the way he's described - fl hair, broad, flat face.
		Hwi and Ixians in general struck me as Asian, although I have no evidence to back this up; all the Fremen are of Arabic origin, and thus have dark skin.
		The Tleilaxu are religious fanatics derived from Islam, I assume, but they look like their own race now.
