 J. Jonah Jameson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jonah Jameson is a fictional character featured in the Marvel Comics universe.
Jameson, however, is considerably more rigid, and prefers the world to "make sense" to his own points of view (regardless of whether his point of view squares with the facts.) Unlike White, it is unlikely that Jameson would react well to the news that one of his star staff members was a costumed superhero.
Jameson seems to be modeled on the American yellow journalism tycoons of the 1890s and 1900s, particularly William Randolph Hearst.

Spider-Man: House Of M #2 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
Now I recognize that in the House of M universe J. Jonah Jameson is little better than a glorified toady, and that in the Marvel Universe proper the character's main gimmick is his ability to ignore the blindingly obvious if it conflicts with story that he wants to tell.
As J. Jonah Jameson finds himself lying in a pile of garbage, we see him discover the Green Goblin has given him an invaluable prize that he quickly recognizes can be used to destroy the life of his tormentor, Peter Parker.
Now I'm not against a story that wants to offer up a series of comical blunders involving J. Jonah Jameson, but I am against such an issue if the humour is entirely dependant of the character suddenly becoming the dumbest member of a book's supporting cast, especially when this supporting cast includes the Rhino.

After Jameson makes it known that he dislikes private detectives almost as much as he hates costumed vigilantes, we see him admit that he does respect Jessica for her decision to cast aside her life as a costumed hero, as it's behavior he encourages all super-heroes to practice.
We then learn the reason for the meeting, as we see Jameson has taken notice of the media storm that has arisen when the Daily Globe released the story that Matt Murdock is Daredevil, and Jameson wants the Daily Bugle to bask in the glow of it's own super-hero outing.
