Tuzo Wilson (1908-1993) was a Canadian geophysicist and Professor of Geology at the University of Toronto.
His important discovery of transform faults in the 1960's was instrumental in the formulation of the theory of plate tectonics.
Wilson is also known for expanding on the theory of seafloor spreading, and his work with inner-earth convection currents.
