  John Walter Jones - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Honourable J. Walter Jones (April 14, 1878 – March 31, 1954) was a politician and farmer in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
An agronomist, he was instrumental in introducing the potato crop to the island, which was to become a staple of the economy.
The government of "Farmer Jones" repealed strict prohibition, and created the PEI Liquor Control Commission to regulate the sale of liquor.

Walter Jones, the Seahawks' Pro Bowl left tackle, yesterday became the last of 10 NFL players carrying the "franchise" tag to report and sign his offer -- in Jones' case a cool $7.084 million.
This was the third consecutive year that Jones passed on the spring minicamps and training camp before reporting -- although the past two years he has shown up in time for the opener, after missing the first two games in 2002.
Jones is not just any player, as he proved the past three years by being voted to the Pro Bowl despite blowing off the off-season camps.
