  Bart Berman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bart Berman (Rotterdam, December 29, 1938) is a Dutch-Israeli pianist and composer, best known as an interpreter of Franz Schubert and 20th century music.
He studied piano with Jaap Spaanderman at the Amsterdam Academy of Music and complemented his piano education with Theo Bruins and a masterclass by Alfred Brendel.
As a soloist, Bart Berman was awarded the Dutch Prize of Excellence, the first prize in the Gaudeamus Competition for interpreters of contemporary music, the Friends of the Concertgebouw Award and four first prizes at competitions for young soloists.

Spaanderman (1997) studied the knowledge of ratio and proportion with four volunteering prospective teachers (PTs), two being Master students in mathematics and two in physics.
Jaap did not had that problem, because he did not felt a need for understanding the mathematics so deeply.
Jaap again referred to the lemonade syrup and water situation he already used in the first excerpt of this study.

Jacob Hendrik Bastiaan ("Jaap") Spaanderman (Gouda, October 17, 1896 - Amsterdam, 19??) was a Dutch pianist, cellist, conductor and educator.
Spaanderman was the conductor of the Arnhem Symphony Orchestra from the 1930s until 1949.
He taught piano and conducting at the Amsterdam Music Academy.

Maarten Bon was born on August 20, 1933 in Amsterdam; he died on October 19th, 2003 in Amsterdam.
He studied piano with Johannes Jacobus Raaff (his grandfather), Net Cornelis, Herman Sachs and at the Muzieklyceum in Amsterdam with Jaap Spaanderman and Theo Bruins.
Thereafter he continued his studies with Noƫmie Perugia (accompagnement de chant), Magda Tagliaferro and Jean Jacques Painchaud (Paris) and Maria Stroo.
