 TADMUR TOURS -Mountains-Jabal Shams-Jabal Akhdar
Jabal Shams means 'Mountain of the Sun' and is the tallest peak in Arabia at a fascinating height of 3010 meters.
Jabal Akhdar, located at the centre of the imposing Hajar mountains range, struts the sky a little less than 10,000 feet, and is noted for its large plateau spanning around 7000 feet.
The plateau of Jabal Akhdar is of porous limestone, due to which rainfall seeps quickly through it, and the vegetation, which might be expected to be abundant, is meager.
