John and Jean Drummond are the ancestor to the Drummond’s of Craigie, Mauchline and Sorn.
She was very fond of poking her nose in all sorts of corners about the farm, and as she had a pretty sharp tongue and not at all backward in using it, we all stood rather in awe of her and kept out of her way as much as possible.
WILLIAM LAMBIE DRUMMOND was born December 9, 1857 at Bogwood and died January 7, 1919 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan of the Spanish Flu and is buried in Minnedosa, Manitoba.

 THE HISTORY OF DRUMMOND
Drummond and Co had been established in 1917 at Balfour St Chippendale adjacent to Tooth’s Brewery, by the son and nephew of Clifford Love of Uncle Toby’s Oats fame.
Drummond and Shirley were under contract to at all times take delivery of large excesses of brewer’s grains from the breweries.
Drummond and Shirley Pty Ltd was a privately owned, and privately financed company, so to move was a major decision both physical and financial. After a great deal of searching, we located a two-acre site at Girraween, 10 km west of Parramatta.

Jack Cecil Drummond was born January 12, 1891,in Newington, County of London, to Nora Gertrude McQuie.
Maria Drummond was married to George Spinks and in the 1901 census they lived in Charlton, Greenwich, London.
It seems then that Jack was raised by his aunt and her husband, perhaps following the death of his mother, and carried their name until probably the age of majority when he returned to the Drummond surname.

 Vitamin - Atkinspedia
The name soon became synonymous with Hopkins' "accessory factors", and by the time it was shown that not all vitamins were amines, the word was already ubiquitous.
In 1920, Jack Cecil Drummond proposed that the final "e" be dropped, to deemphasize the "amine" reference, after the discovery that vitamin C had no amine component, and the name has been "vitamin" ever since.
The reason the alphabet soup of vitamins seems to skip from E to the rarely-mentioned K is that most of the "letters" were reclassified, as with fatty acids, discarded as false leads, or renamed because of their relationship to "vitamin B", which became a "complex" of vitamins.
