The Right Honourable John Anderson "Jack" Cunningham, Baron Cunningham of Felling, PC, DL (born 4 August 1939) is a British Labour politician and was Member of Parliament for Copeland until 2005.
His father was Andrew Cunningham, leader of Durham County Council in the 1970s, who was disgraced in the 1974 Poulson scandal.
On 13 May 2005 it was announced that he would be created a life peer, and was created Baron Cunningham of Felling, of Felling in the County of Tyne and Wear, on 27 June.

Jack Cunningham was born in Avondale, Pictou County on August 8, 1903 and spent his early years on his father’s mixed farm where he learned at a young age the value of agriculture and developed a tremendous appreciation for the miracles of mother nature.
In 1926 Jack, his brother Fred and father Robert went west on a harvest excursion and homesteaded in Saskatchewan raising Shorthoms for 15 years.
Jack was best known for his auctioneering abilities; cultivated under the watchful eye of his father.

Jack escapes with the letter, but it is unsigned, and Jack needs money to hire a writing expert to document that it is in Jordan's hand.

Family and friends say Cunningham perceived the Rotary House as an important tool in patient care – his mission was to facilitate the healing process by creating an atmosphere in which not only patients, but also their family members could stay comfortably.
A plaque in Cunningham’s honor was recently unveiled as part of a luncheon at the Rotary House, celebrating Cunningham’s dedication and the Rotary House’s 10th anniversary.

Mr Cunningham, 60, served as a PPS to James Callaghan when he was foreign secretary between 1974 and 1976, before being appointed junior energy minister - a post he held until Margaret (now Lady) Thatcher and the Conservatives swept to power in 1979.
It wasn't long before he won the nickname "nuclear Jack" within Labour for his stance towards nuclear energy - the Sellafield nuclear plant was in his constituency, and a significant employer of local voters.
Before becoming the MP for Whitehaven in 1970 (the constituency was renamed Copeland in 1983), he was a full-time officer with the General and Municipal Workers' Union and a research fellow at Durham University.

Professor Cunningham chaired the Department of Electrical Engineering from 1961 to 1963, when the School of Engineering was abolished and the departments combined into one Department of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS).
Professor Cunningham was a trustee of the Church of the Redeemer in New Haven.
