	Jack Elder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Jack Elder was born and raised in West Auckland,attending New Lynn Primary, Avondale Intermediate and Kelston Boys High School where Elder was the captain of the rugby first fifteen and head boy.
		Elder was first elected to Parliament in the 1984 elections as the Labour MP for West Auckland, having previously made unsuccessful attempts in Helensville in the 1978 elections and the 1981 elections.
		Elder's participation in the group can be seen as surprising, as his political views did not closely match the radically multiculturalist policies of the new party.
