Jack Hayward - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This was taken over by Hayward, who developed Freeport in the Bahamas, a very successful development that he continues to play a role in.
Hayward was knighted for his charitable actions, giving money to save Lundy Island and the SS Great Britain.
Hayward is also the owner and was until recently chairman of Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. It is conservatively estimated that he has spent £60m of his personal fortune (70m recouped) on a stadium, training ground, and players for the club during the 14 years for which he has dragged the fans and the club through hell.

Hayward has put some conditions on the handover, though - he wants it to be taken over by an individual or consortium who are from, or connected to, Wolverhampton.

With one of the conditions of the handover being that 25% of the club has to be sold to the fans, Hayward is certainly endeavouring to ensure that the fans and the people of Wolverhampton will have a stake in the future of the club.
