	Jack Purvis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Jack Purvis (December 11, 1906, Kokomo, Indiana – March 30, 1962, San Francisco, California) was a United States jazz musician.
		Purvis was best known as a trumpet player.
		He was one of the earliest trumpeters to incorporate the innovations pioneered by Louis Armstrong in the late 1920s.

		During his later career, Purvis worked as a carpenter, a chef (again) and a radio repairman, but nothing musical of any worth seems to have occured from his release from prison until his death.
