Jack Walker is an athletic young man who decided to become a Pokémon Ranger after being saved from a blizzard by a group of Altaria, Swablu and Furret.
Jack Walker is the only Ranger ever shown without one, although it is implied that the Phantom's Chatot may have remained with him after Jack befriended it during the flooding of the temple.

Born April 1, 1921, in Waynesboro, Sidney Walker was reared in Augusta by his grandmother, Evie Mixom, who nicknamed him "Beau Jack." As a youth, he shined shoes at the corner of Ninth and Broad streets.
The bout was Jack's 113th or 118th, depending on the source, and he is credited with as many as 88 victories.
