Jackie Lockhart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jacqueline "Jackie" Lockhart (born March 22, 1965, Stonehaven, Kincardine and Mearns, as Jacqueline Steele) is a Scottish curler who has competed prolifically in major international competitions for Scotland, and for the Great Britain team that competes at the Olympic Winter Games.
Jackie missed out on selection for the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002, and had to watch from afar as the team skipped by Rhona Martin won plaudits for becoming the winners of Great Britain's first gold medal in any sport at the Winter Olympics since ice dancers Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean in 1984.
In the wake of Jackie's triumph, much was made of her disclosure that she had deliberately ensured that the stone she used for her last delivery in the final against Sweden was exactly the same one used by Rhona Martin to seal victory in Salt Lake City.

Rhona Martin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Perhaps drained by their win, the team lost to Jackie Lockhart's rink in the three-match final of the Scottish Championships, played within days of their return to Scotland.
However, Lockhart subsequently made headlines by winning the world championships for Scotland, and by selecting precisely the same stone used by Rhona to seal victory in the Olympics for her own winning delivery.
Prior to the 2006 Winter Olympics, it was reported that Martin was living off of welfare and that her financial problems were causing her to live apart from her husband.

Lockhart, who has yet to beat Martin since both won their titles, now goes on to represent Scotland at the European Championships which begin in Switzerland on Thursday.
