Jackson explained in interviews that she chose not to tell fans about her marriage because since she had been in the public spotlight at a young age that if word ever got out about her marriage, then it would have made it worse and the marriage was to be over anyway.
Jackson apologized at first, calling it an accident and claiming that Timberlake was supposed to pull away the bustier and leave the red-lace bra intact, however, she later said to an interviewer for Genre magazine that she wishes she had not apologized at all.
Janet's first musical recording was a duet with brother Randy on the b-side to his modest charted hit single, "How Can I Be Sure" on a song titled "A Love Song for Kids", in 1978 when she was only twelve.

 VH1.com : Janet Jackson : Biography
Jackson trumpeted her new image with a notorious Rolling Stone cover photo, in which her topless form was covered by a pair of hands belonging to an unseen "friend." Musically, Jam and Lewis set aside the synthesized funk of their first two albums with Jackson in favor of warm, inviting, gently undulating grooves.
Jackson undertook her first real tour (she'd appeared at high schools around the country in 1982) in support of the album and it was predictably a smashing success.
Jackson collaborated with Jam and Lewis on most of the tracks for her next album, Control, which presented her as a confident, tough-minded young woman (with a soft side and a sense of humor) taking charge of her life for the first time.

Since even the two girls specify that the song "The Knowledge" was the one that changed their lives, it becomes even more puzzling (and disappointing) that Janet's performance to the song as seen on the RN short film was not included on this compilation.
Jackson's confectionary vocals are masterfully complemented by gentle harmonies and balanced out by pulsing rhythms, so she's never unpleasant to listen to.
The DVD does contain the rarely-seen extended version of "Alright", Janet Jackson's tribute to the forties, with its rap cameo by the charismatic "overweight lover", Heavy D. Other than that, there is not a whole lot of the kind of bonus footage that consumers expect from DVD.

Beenie Man f/ Janet Jackson - Feel It Boy Song Review
I am a great fan of Janet Jackson. The song is not knew but I have loved it from the moment I heard it.Who could have thought that Janet and Bennie could make such a duet together. The song definately is a classic.
Obviously, it is not a Janet track, because frankly the lyrics are rather lame, but Janet totally pulls through, and just as with anything Janet does, she ends up owning the song, as well as the video.
Great summer song from Janet and Bennie shocked that it only made #28 on the Hot 100, but did reach #9 in the UK, but I guess part of the US success comes from Janet, as this did become Beenie's biggest hit and he's been doing much for 9 years.

If you think her success is due to the Jackson name, ask yourself how many records LaToya or Tito have sold lately; Janet co-writes and co-produces the majority of her work, which probably doesn't hurt.
"Again" is a melodic, lushly orchestrated ballad, and there are certainly a lot of styles on display: distorted synth meets acoustic guitar on "If"; "What'll I Do" is a 60s Stax tribute with mostly live instruments - it's enjoyable though Janet, of course, has nothing resembling the voice for it.
Jackson's message this time is "Enough politics, let's get laid." Many tracks, from the opening "That's The Way Love Goes" through "Throb," are oddly similar to Madonna's Erotica: ostinato keyboards and drum programming, heavy breathing, all the way to the psychobabble spoken word refrains and "Look at me, I'm being naughty" dirty talk.
