Jackson County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin.
The racial makeup of the county is 89.58% White, 2.27% Black or African American, 6.16% Native American, 0.16% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 1.01% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races.
In the county, the population is spread out with 24.10% under the age of 18, 8.80% from 18 to 24, 29.40% from 25 to 44, 22.80% from 45 to 64, and 14.90% who are 65 years of age or older.

I have no proof that the Daniel Sedgwick who married Lucy Ann Parker in Jackson County, Wisconsin on May 30, 1886, is this Daniel, but there is ample evidence to conclude so.
I therefore believe that the Daniel Sedgwick in Chippewa County, Wisconsin in 1880 is this Daniel, and that he is the only Daniel Sedgwick who could possibly have married Lucy Ann Parker.
Also, this Daniel's sister Mary Ann (Sedgwick) Norman lived in Jackson County, so it is not unlikely that he would have been there at some time.

VINCENT B., the present Postmaster of Melrose, was born in the town of Hardwick, Worcester County, Massachusetts, October 5, 1821, the son of Vincent C. Newland, who was born in Bristol County, Massachusetts, August 26, 1798.
In 1832 he went to Warren County, Pennsylvania in 1833 to Erie County, same State in 1835 to Holmes County, Ohio, and in 1852 he returned to Worcester County, where he remained until 1855, in which year he came to Jackson County, Wisconsin, locating in the town of Melrose, where he died April 17, 1886.
In 1832 he went to Warren County, Pennsylvania in 1835 he went with his parents to Holmes County, Ohio in 1848 he returned to Worcester County, Massachusetts, and in 1853 came to Jackson County, where he took up Government land.
