His father removed to Crane Township, this county, when Henry was but four years of age and entered eighty acres of land, and leaving a possession of 120 acres at his death.
WALTERMIRE was born in Fairfield County, Ohio, September 29, 1827, and is the son of Samuel and Margaret (Clymer) Waltermire.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Spring Grove-Jackson Township link of the Hanover Trolley Trail was held on May 31, 2007 at 2 PM at the Jackson Township Sewer Authority property off Hershey Road in Jackson Township.
In addition, Hanover Borough and Penn Township are moving forward with funding assistance from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to develop a 1.5 mile section of the historic trolley line as well as a trail connector to the newly renovated Hanover Library.
In that same year, a license agreement was executed between Metropolitan Edison Company and the County of York for the purpose of establishing a non-motorized recreational trail from Hokes Mill Road in West Manchester Township to Wilson Avenue in Penn Township.

The northern drift covers the entire county, even on the very summit of Keel ridge in Hickory township 1250` A.T. Bowlders of large size are often found in the drift; granite, gneiss, greenstone from New York or Canada, mixed with limestone, sandstone, shale, pieces of coal, and an abundance of bluish-white clay.
Some of the valleys are filled with drift to a considerable extent, and swamps like that on the low divide between the head of Little Shenango river and the head of Sandy creek, represent ancient ponds produced by dams of drift left by the ancient glaciers on their retreat.
Under lie the Shenango shales and flagstone 45`; the Shenango sandstone (Sub-Olean flat pebble conglomerate of McKean county) with nodular iron ore and fish remains, 15`; and the Crawford shales, 90` of which are visible in the north-western corner of the county.

Dumping by "midnight haulers" is known to occur in northeastern Pennsylvania (oral communication with PADEP and township officials), especially near existing landfills along the New York and New Jersey borders.
The 1980-1992 data were analyzed using the Pennsylvania 1984-1986 mortality experience as a standard, and the 1990 Census population for age and sex.
In this case, the age-sex specific death rates by 5 year age groups for a selected cause of death for Pennsylvania is applied to the same age-sex population in Jackson Township to obtain an "expected" number of deaths.

Corbett said that as law enforcement entered the property they discovered an active meth lab in an attached garage of the home.  Agents are in the process of seizing approximately one ounce of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $3,000 and other items used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Corbett said Steven and Eileen Myers were both charged with two counts each of delivery of methamphetamine and criminal conspiracy.  Sharon Terry was charged with one count of possession of paraphernalia, Franklin was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine and Adams was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine.
All five defendants are in the process of being arraigned in front of Tioga County Judge Robert Dalton.

In the 1770's, attracted by the presence of water, iron ore and wood for charcoal in the Pigeon Hills, an iron manufacturer established a forge at "Spring Forge." It is known as Spring Grove.
